<p><strong>Welcome to Sea Sanctuary</strong></p><p>Sea Sanctuary is a well established, innovative and award-winning mental health charity, founded in 2006.&nbsp; We&rsquo;re one of the world&rsquo;s leading exponents of &lsquo;blue health&rsquo;, the concept that access to &lsquo;blue spaces&rsquo;, such as the sea is beneficial for our mental health and physical wellbeing. <br /><br />Founded in 2006, the charity supports adults, teenagers, children, and families who present with poor mental health; whether mild/moderate or those who are acutely unwell. <br /><br />The team has years of success in combining evidence-based therapies with marine-based activities such as sailing that provide an invigorating sense of adventure along with the support people require to build and sustain emotional resilience and an improved level of wellbeing. <br /><br />We work from riverside offices with light and airy consultation rooms and a stunning 44ft yacht &lsquo;Winter&rsquo;. Our team includes skilled sailors, highly experienced and qualified therapists and councillors, creative facilitators, a committed support team, and a consultant in psychiatry. <br /><br />Due to Covid-19 restrictions, we are offering the following: <br /><br />Sail into Life <br />We deliver our residential therapeutic sailing programmes onboard &lsquo;Winter&rsquo;. By combining evidence-based therapies with marine-based activities we provide an invigorating sense of adventure along with the help and support people require to build and sustain emotional resilience and an improved level of wellbeing. It&rsquo;s proven to be a unique recipe for success that&rsquo;s helped hundreds of people improve their health. <br /><br /><br />Individual Therapy <br />Our team of qualified therapists offer confidential one-to-one sessions tailored to specific needs, build resilience and improve mental wellbeing. <br /><br />Art Group <br />We&rsquo;ve moved our popular art group online. Clients receive materials and instructions ahead of the course. It&rsquo;s a wonderful opportunity for clients to be creative, socialise, regroup, relax, and find inner stability. <br /><br />Our services are open to anyone, subject to assessment. Our referral process is simple, safe, and secure. Health Works for Cornwall

<p></p><p>In partnership with Cornwall Development Company, <strong>Pluss</strong> will be offering a helping hand to over 2,250 people who are out of work to support them to build confidence, improve wellbeing and move towards and into work. </p><p>We&rsquo;ll be reaching out to Cornwall&rsquo;s most rural and excluded communities to ensure that anyone with a health or wellbeing need can get the support they want and need. Pluss will also be offering a specialist employment service to 400 people with a learning disability. </p><p>Our participants will be at the very helm of the service, helping us to break down barriers, co-design and market the programme in a way that they feel works best. Our support is tailored to each individual and will include: </p><ul><li>Help to build self-esteem, confidence and independence </li><li>Understanding each individuals work, life and health aspirations </li><li>Assisting with job search, CVs and interview techniques </li><li>Arranging work trials, tasters and introductions to local employers </li><li>In-work support for up to six months. </li></ul><p><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">How to get support</span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;"></span></strong>We warmly welcome your referrals. <p>Groundwork South West is a charitable organisation offering access to funded projects across Devon and Cornwall. Our projects are free for users and currently include:</p><p><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><strong>STEP - Saltash and Torpoint Employment Programme</strong></span></p><p>A project open to anyone within the Saltash and Torpoint area who is unemployed or economically inactive. This bespoke program offers one-to-one mentor support in Saltash and Torpoint, to help participants gain skills to help access employment. There will also be chances to take part in community projects. We also run accredited courses in English and Maths, Customer Service, Employability Skills, and a range of other courses, or access to courses that will support you on your journey to success. The project also will work partnership with local business to co-design, develop, and identify skills gaps in the local area. As a participant you will: Gain experience Boost your confidence and self esteem Access employment and further education Benefit the community you live in Support also includes: CV writing Interview skills Work trails and more&hellip; To be&nbsp;eligible for these&nbsp;NO COST&nbsp;courses, you must be&nbsp;over 18,&nbsp;live in Saltash and Torpoint&nbsp;ONLY,&nbsp;and not be in&nbsp;employment.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><strong>#iWill - Youth Advocacy in Saltash and Callington</strong></span></p><p>Twoo youth led projects for 16-20 year olds in the towns of&nbsp;Saltash&nbsp;and&nbsp;Callington. Participants will research and then consult with peers about the community spaces that are available within their community and if they could be better utilised to meet the needs of young people. They will then present their findings to key stakeholders (Cornwall Council, Youth Services, town Councils etc) in the hope for support with their findings.&nbsp;In Saltash we will work with participants on a practical project to improve Saltmill Football pitch and Park in order to make the site more appealing to local young people. This will consist of on-site consultations leading to youth delivered improvements. What we want to&nbsp;achieve: Improve young people&rsquo;s confidence&nbsp; and empower them through the processes of the projects Reduce social isolation with the hope to make young people more accountable and motivated Young people can make a positive difference to others and the local areas around them. Young people will learn a range of new skills such as volunteering, campaigning, supporting others, public speaking, presenting findings and making a research project.</p><p>&nbsp;</p>&nbsp;
